One of the most common causes of headaches that do NOT originate in the head is called a "Cervicogenic" Headache.
You May Have A "Cervicogenic" Headache
If you answer "Yes" to any of these FIVE questions...
1. Has your neck ever experienced trauma? IE.. as a child did you experience a fall off a swing, have a bicycle accident, did you fall down the stairs, did you play any contact sports.
2. Have you ever been in a car accident? Even a minor fender bender can cause a traumatic shift in the alignment of your neck.
3. Have you experienced many ‘minor’ injuries? IE.. do you sit all day, do you sleep on your stomach with your head rotated all night, and/or is your head positioned over your shoulders or has it fallen forward.
4. Is your neck stiff or, at times, difficult to move?
5. When you have a headache or migraine does it seem to also be associated with neck pain?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then you may be suffering from a "Cervicogenic" headache.
"The Cervicogenic headache is a big word for a headache which has its origin in the area of the neck. The source of pain is found in structures around the neck which have been damaged. These structures can include joints, ligaments, muscles and cervical discs, all of which have complex nerve endings. When these structures are damaged, the nerve endings send pain signals up the pathway from the upper nerves of the neck to the brain. During this process, they intermingle with the nerve fibers of the trigeminal nerve. Since the trigeminal nerve is responsible for the perception of head pain, the patient therefore experiences the symptoms of a headache." - Dr. Peter Rothbart, M.D.
From my experience a "cervicogenic headache" can be caused because a vertebrae has become misaligned, or what health professionals call a subluxation.
A subluxation, put simply is when a bone in your spine is out of alignment and irritates the nerves in that area of the spine. If the nerves are being irritated then it will cause your body to work improperly and your body will start to experience symptoms. The symptoms experienced from subluxations in the upper spine can be headaches, migraines, sleeplessness, anxiety, sinus, allergy and in some cases even depression.
Its important to remember we can't help anyone unless we first detect a subluxation.

wellness clinic in downtown Newnan. We have put together this web page to help people understand they may not have to suffer from headaches or migraines anymore. We have helped hundreds of people correct the CAUSE of their headaches.
Neither is the nauseous feelings that come whenever you go out on a sunny day or see a bright light, laying awake at night praying your headaches will disappear, feeling and looking miserable, irritable, older than you really are and the frustration of knowing that your friends and family just don’t understand what you are going through.
And thanks to those clever headache pain relief commercials, medicine cabinets, purses, and glove compartments all over the country that are fully stocked with medication for the “normal” headache.
So, if you are one of the millions of Americans who suffer from annoying, pestering, mind-numbing headaches, then please keep reading, because as you are about to discover, headaches can be helped naturally and safely.
When we discovered that one in six Americans are chronic headache victims, we couldn't believe that so many Americans suffer day in and day out when they really don’t have to any more...and chances are, neither do you! That’s why we decided to step forward and create this web page. I am frustrated with so many people feeling as if they just have to live with their problems and continue to take medications which have seriously damaging side effects.

Tony Robbins has a saying, "The definition of insanity is doing the same
things and expecting different results."
If you truly want to get rid of your headaches, then you're going to have to try something different; something natural, and hopefully drug free…and equally important, something that is proven to work.
Even though you may be feeling your headaches in your sinuses or on the top of your head, that doesn’t necessarily mean that is where the cause of the problem is located.
For instance, oftentimes people with a disc problem in their lower back get pain, numbness or weakness in their legs, even if there's nothing physically wrong with their legs.
Therefore you need an evaluation to determine if your headaches are originating from your neck.
