Dr. Josh Shields

Dr. Josh Shields grew up in Newnan, Georgia and graduated from Newnan High School. Both his mother and father were Chiropractors, therefore after graduation, Dr. Josh followed in their footsteps and decided to become a chiropractor as well.  He completed his core requirements for Chiropractic College from State University of West Georgia. Then he went on to graduate cum laude (third in his class) from Logan Chiropractic College in August 2003. 

 Dr. Josh is an accomplished wellness lecturer. Some of his most popular talks are “Trading in Stress for Success”, “What is Wellness and How to Achieve It”, and “Secrets of Health and How to Obtain It.” Dr. Josh has spoken to many groups including AT&T and GE. As a part of Dr. Josh's commitment to his patient's health and well-being, he started a new 13 workshop series ranging from goal setting, hormones to weightloss.  Theses workshops have transformed the lives of his patients.

Dr. Josh has inspired and motivated thousands of people through his lifestyle improvement workshops. Most importantly, Dr. Josh genuinely cares about his patients and the people of this community. His desire isFinishwithmedal.jpg to educate the community on where true health comes from, within!

Dr. Josh Shields is also an experienced tri-athlete. He has competed in over 30 triathlons. In 2009, Dr. Josh qualified to compete on the national level for his age group in triathlon.  At the national championships he earned a spot on the U.S.A amaetur team to compete in Budapest, Hungary for the world championships in 2010.  In 2009, Dr. Josh also competed in his first Ironman Distance Triathlon, 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and ended with a 26.2 mile run.  He managed to finish in 12 hours despite the fact he suffered from a stomach flu the night before the race. 

Dr. Josh brings his experience from triathlon into the chiropractic practice by encouraging healthy lifestyle habits and hard work.  Dr. Josh believes his patients get well faster and stay well longer if they actively participate in their care and take on the responsibilities required to achieve true health and wellness.
